Help restore correct card

Hi
I have a laptop with 2 video cards in it, the "embedded" one into i5 and an AMD Radeon R5 M240
After upgrading from min 17 to mint 18, the upgrade made a mess with the drivers (after the mess I discovered that the driver I used were no more available in mint 18) and after big troubles now I have a usable system. The only issue is the video card that is enabled, the i5. I noticed the system produce quite heat and consume a lot of CPU time watching videos on youtube, I wonder if I can manage to restore the Radeon I can resolve my performance and heat problems
But I have no idea on how I can choose the video card X should run with. Can anyone help me?
