[SOLVED] - ntfs partition data only read mode

Post by mantaor » Sat Oct 13, 2018 12:17 pm

Hi guys, yesterday I installed mint 19.3 from usb drive, all updates required were installed too.
My problem is that ntfs partition data (no OS) can be only read and not write. Previous mint 17.3 worked flawless. I installed ntfs-3g but nothing changed after reboot.
ntfs-config is correctly configurated. Please, anyone can help me?

Thanks a lot

Welcome to the forum Mantaor,

You probably mean that you have installed LinuxMint 18.3, instead of LM19.3

Maybe this link (below) on this very forum might help you along. Wait for other experienced forummembers to give you detailed advice.

Thanks. More specifically this post: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=275899#p1514275

There's no need for the other steps yet.

oh what a newbie error!!! I hibernated windows. Shame on me. The older mint versions gave me an error when I tried to access to "windows hibernated" partitions while in this case I could read them but not write. Thanks for your support
