Change Dual boot from Windows/Manjaro to Windows Mint

Post by Snoopremacy » Wed Apr 17, 2019 11:54 am

Trying to replace manjaro linux with Mint, and still keep my current Windows install. When I try to install "alongside", it doesn't replace Manjaro, but if i try it a different way, it just trys to reformat the drive. Which I don't want. I really don't want to screw up my current windows install. So how do I go about getting rid of manjaro and replacing it with Mint, and not have manjaro show up on the boot options menu anymore? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Delete the Manjaro partitions with Gparted and tell mint to install using the empty space. And when booted into mint type

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
into your terminal and the manjaro boot option should disappear if mint didn't do it on install.
