[SOLVED] [Linux Mint 18.1] Unable to connect to internet (worked for months)

Post by ladhnur » Wed Apr 17, 2019 1:30 pm

Hi
Newbie here

I hope I am posting in the right forum.
I had installed Mint 18.1 few months ago and have been using successfully till now. I am not a core Linux user but know a little bit.

Long story short, yesterday I used my desktop (was using it to check my email successfully) and at night turned it off.
This morning when I powered it up and tried to go on the net, it failed.

I thought that Ethernet cable was loose or some issue with router but everything was okay.

I tried the ifconfig and here is the output:

Code: Select all

anbox0    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr be:92:9d:12:df:82
          inet addr:192.168.250.1  Bcast:0.0.0.0  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::bc92:9dff:fe12:df82/64 Scope:Link

          inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
          inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host

Any idea what is going on?
Thanks in advance for your help

Nick
