SOLVED: Bring back support for metacity-theme-1.xml format in Cinnamon

Windows borders in metacity-theme-1.xml format are no longer supported as of Cinnamon version 3.8.x or above. Please add support for them in the next version of Cinnamon.

I think that's unlikely to happen - I understand the intention is to drop support for Metacity entirely in a future version and have window decorations themed by the GTK (Controls) theme.
For custom Nemo actions, useful scripts for the Cinnamon desktop, and Cinnamox themes visit my Github pages.

Thanks again for the reply. That's too bad. I guess I'll migrate to MATE after Linux Mint 18.3 is out of support.
