Hi everyone. I am using Cinnamon and was wondering how to set a background image for terminal. Thanks.

Assuming you are running the gnome terminal you can change the terminal background color using the preference settings.

Click on the Edit->Preference->Color.

By default it uses the system theme. I find the transparency to be very annoying. You can unselect the Use transparency from system theme to turn it off. You can unselect the Use colors from the system theme to create your own custom or select one of the preconfigured themes.

Background image support was removed from gnome-terminal.

Well that sucks. Just installed Konsole as im typing so all is good. Thanks for the heads up.
