A2DP Not an Option for my Bluetooth Headphones

Post by Tylerst » Fri Aug 16, 2019 12:29 am

I just installed 19.2 Cinnamon, and I've been having some trouble getting my bluetooth working properly. I've been able to get my bluetooth headphones to pair, but the audio quality is terrible. I did some googling and saw several people saying that I need to change a setting to A2DP, but that's not even an option in my drop-down list. Is there something I need to download or install first? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'm brand new to linux, so type slowly so I can understand

Update: After doing a little messing around (not changing anything, just testing my wired headphones and disconnecting/reconnecting the bluetooth headphones), a2dp is suddenly not only an option, but it was selected automatically. I'm kind of scared to turn my computer off.
