SSH Has Blank Output

Post by Enclusion » Fri Aug 16, 2019 12:48 am

I've used Ubuntu in the past and am now using mint. I have the openssh-client installed but when I connect to a server the output is blank. When I run the -v argument the output is as follows:

Code: Select all

OpenSSH_7.6p1 Ubuntu-4ubuntu0.3, OpenSSL 1.0.2n 7 Dec 2017
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: /etc/ssh/ssh_config line 19: Applying options for *
debug1: Connecting to [] port 22.
Things I have done:

- Disabled firewall (sudo service ufw stop)
- Reinstalled openssh client
- Tested running a local server which I was able to connect to. I can't connect to external servers.
- Connecting on windows (I dual boot) works fine through the linux subsystem and putty. The server is online and working fine from other operating servers, just mint is the issue.

Any help or support is appreciated.
