How to access Linux Mint remote

Post by Inna » Fri Aug 16, 2019 8:21 am

Hello,
How can I access Linux Mint remote? I mean something like RDP but for Linux. I think it's called VNC for Linux computers.
I have a static IP address and I want to access my laptop when I'm not home.
I want to have access the graphical interface like when I'm home and working on my laptop.
Is that possible at all?

Thanks in advance

Not only possible...it's very easy. I could never get RDP to work even when I used Windows, but now I remote control any computer I need to using AnyDesk.

Hello, I know that but sometimes I am not using any computers to connect to AnyDesk, and I use my phone.
But I'll consider this if possible.

Yeah, my phone is too small for this purpose, but I do use AnyDesk on an Android tablet to remote into my computer.

I used to as well... worked great on my LAN, but on WAN, I find AnyDesk so much easier to configure and use.

I've just installed NoMachine and seems fine.
I'll try it tomorrow in the office to see if it's fine for me.
