[SOLVED] "This device is using an alternative driver." (Mint 19.2 NVIDIA 435.21)

Am I actually using the latest driver? Those two windows show contradicting information. I'm getting FPS performance problems and I'm trying to pin-point the source.

I might be reading it incorrectly, but, to me, it looks like both screens are saying that you are using the
NVIDIA 435.421 driver, which is the latest one according to Driver Manager.
Aspire-TC-705 Kernel: 4.15.0-65-generic x86_64 bits: 64
compiler: gcc v: 7.3.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 4.2.3
Distro: Linux Mint 19.2

Why does it also say "No proprietary drivers are in use." in the left graphical interface?

Try in Terminal
nvidia-smi
To mark this issue solved, go to your original 1st post and click the edit pencil and add [Solved] at the beginning of the title and click Submit.

Bug with the official version of Driver Manager.
