Linux Mint doesn´t start properly and has visual glitches.

Post by maxximum » Mon Dec 02, 2019 11:26 am

Hello,
So i have an old Acer Aspire 7530G laptop that currently runs Windows 10 Pro. And i wanted to switch to Linux Mint because its an popular operating system and its faster than Windows. Windows is pretty slow on my pc. So i downladed Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon. I checked the integrity and the authenticity of the file and evrything was fine. Then i used Etcher to flash the .iso file onto my 16GB USB-Stick. In the live OS everything is fine. Then i install Linux Mint. It installed successfully. I booted with GRUB into MInt. and first boot was fine. I just tried to start it, to see if it works. After that i turned my pc off. The next day i start it again. And i get these weird glitches when i start it. Btw im running Mint in 64bit. I cannot post the pictures in the attachments because the files are too big. so here is the link for the pictures: https://imgur.com/a/CKXShfu

It's better to explain your problem verbally with a few screenshot s. Nobody may be willing to watch the video.
If I have helped you solve a problem, please add [SOLVED] to your first post title, it helps other users looking for help, and keeps the forum clean.
Regards,
Deepak

I am using Mint 19.2 Cinnamon 64 bit with AMD A8/7410 processor . Memory 8GB

Enter this inxi -Fxz in a full screen terminal window and press enter. Paste the results back here inside of code tags for easier reading. If you can't do this from the Mint install, do it from your installation USB (i.e., a live session).
