Linux Mint colour palette

Post by meetdilip »

What are the official Linux Mint colours ? Are they available in .gpl format ? It would be great to have the hex codes. Thanks.

Never did this before, don't know what .gpl format is, but ....

I figured it couldn't be that hard...to figure it out....

Find a pic (of the new logo maybe ?), save it, open it in GIMP, use color picker to get a RGB value, then convert. Simple eh ?

Convert RGB to HEX here https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/col ... o-hex.html

Final answer, mint green (of that img anyway) = R-146, G-182, B-98 convert to hex code = #92B662

I'm sure there are other, probably better ways to do that, but it works.

Thanks @rickNS

Is there a blog post where this logo was announced. I asking just to be clear that exists a colour scheme for Linux Mint. Or Mint Green is all that matters. Different organizations, different styles. Hence my question.

I saw that on OMG Ubuntu...https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2019/10/lin ... ogo-update

However that was an "announcement" and maybe the "official" color may have ended up a little darker, I don't know, because... I just booted Mint 19.3 cinnamon which uses the new icons, (so that would be as "official" as it gets...) these are the 19.3 icons in /usr/share/icons/...

And the RGB value of that color is 134,190,67, or hex #86BE43
