echo "hello world" >> freedom.txt

Post by erginemr »

Hi, everyone!

Emrah here, 45 years old male, civil engineer, living in Istanbul, Turkey. I am married and have 2 kids.

Having used Linux (Suse, Mandrake, PCLOS and Ubuntu) for a couple of years in 2000's , I have given a break and used primarily Win and MacOS, but now have come back home with Linux Mint. It feels good to be here among fellow people, again.

I can describe myself as power user as I know my way around Linux CLI and desktop. I can somewhat code in Python, Java, C#/VB.Net and Bash shell. Besides Linux, I am fond of foreign languages and can speak English, French and Spanish effectively.

In this forum, I will try to seek help and give help in return.

That's it,folks. See you soon.

Thanks everyone. I am very glad to have such a warm welcome. :D

Back in my distro-hopping days, I had also looked into Mint ("Bianca" I guess). It was promising especially with the looks, but somehow I could accidentally manage to break it down.

Now after all those years, Linux Mint with Cinnamon has become another beast. I think with its steady but predictable progress in years, Mint has managed what its forefather, Ubuntu couldn't do.

Anyways, thanks again.
