dual (2) network connection icons on control panel

I have noticed that several times lately that when I boot I am seeing 2 (instead of just one)
network connection icons on the control panel. Does not always happen, just occasionally.

Using ethernet cable.

Linux Mint 20.

What is causing this ?
Mint 20 mate 64 bit.
