Unable to start Developer Days VM

Whenever I try to start Developer Days a blue screen displays saying, "Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem? I don't understand the problem. When I hit yes it just shows the build, version release date etc. and I still don't understand what's wrong. Help would be greatly appreciated.
