I'm in USA and love linux mint much to my wifes dismay i wont install windows, she got a laptop for her own use, only small issue im glad linux finally fixed is printers, which used to be a pain to get to work but much better now.
There are tons of programs for linux and there all free,

To extend your Linux experience don't forget 2 steps:

#1 Backup your user data, at best daily.

#2 Use Timeshift to save the current state of your system.

i would like to add that while these programs are free, donations are appreciated by the developers.

Cosmo: i have tried backing up and using timeshift but have opted to install a second SSD and store any info i may want to save on it.
while i do love Linux Mint i am somewhat inexperienced / confused with all the verbage involved in Linux. I have managed to wreck my sytem before and do a reinstall.
I am looking forward to the journey though.
