Me considero um novato, pois acabei de me cadastrar aqui no Fórum, então caso me comporte inadequadamente, favor me orientar.
Pois bem, utilizo o Linux Mint há muitos anos ( nem sei ao certo desde que ano), porém agora com o lançamento do Linux Mint 21.1, não tive êxito em concluir uma instalação funcional.
Ja observei todas as orientações do site do Mint e também de outras publicações, mas nenhuma deu certo.
Ocorre que, a última linha que consigo visualizar no carregamento do sistema é o Bluetooth. . . então trava geral.
Tenho um Dell XPS L502X com processador Intel I7 de 2ª geração, ou seja, é bem velhinho, mas ainda muito funcional para meu uso.
Enfim, no momento estou com dual boot do Mint 19.3 e com o LMDE 5 que estou usando como “set default”.
Dessa forma, pergunto: Existe alguma nova orientação que possa fazer o Mint 21.1 funcionar no meu Dell, ou se no caso do meu hardware a recomendação é continuar com o Mint 19.3?

OBS: Testei diversas distros com base Ubuntu 22.04 e em todas tive o mesmo problema, ou seja, imagino que alguma alteração foi feita neste Kernel com relação ao suporte aos drivers mais antigos.
