I've been away for a long time, so I don't remember any of the details of coding GRUB stanzas ...
I have a 40_Custom file that has a bunch of GRUB stanzas for mounting ISO files. They are currently stored in an isos directory in the Mint filesystem. But I have added a second Linux distro to the drive and want to move the ISOs to their own partition.
So, I created an ext4 ISOs partition and copied the ISO files there.
When I am in Mint, I can get to that partition because I added a mount line in FSTAB for it.
But in GRUB, it does not see that partition because it is not mounted.
So is there some way, like in the Header file, to add a mount command so that GRUB can them use that volume?

Re: Mounting a volume in GRUB
If you have moved iso files you will need to edit and modify 40_custom accordingly and run
sudo update-grub
