Kernel upgrade

Post by herbie643 »

Why in the blue-blazes is there an update to linux-image-5.15.0-58-generic that is impossible to not do as I cannot remove it since it will install half the world if I do. I run 6.0 and I don't want 5.15 at all, period. How do I accomplish this?

Hello, herbie643.

We need a few more technical details about your LM system. Also we need the original messages, which you read, not only some brief summaries in your own words.

Please, open a terminal window. Please execute the following commandlines, exactly as they are typed here.
Please, mark each commandline and its terminal output. Press <Ctrl><Shift>c to copy the marked output and paste it into your next reply.
Regards,
Karl

I do not understand.
I have not requested any hardware details.
All 3 commandlines, which I have asked you to execute, are about software packages and versions.
