When I try to install ffmpeg on Mint 21.1 I keep getting unmet dependencies.
I get the same error whether I try via command prompt or in the software manager.
Any suggestions?

Try a different mirror.

Re: Installing ffmpeg
Are you trying to install a newer version of ffmpeg than the default repo version? That would cause the unmet dependencies message.
There are so many multimedia programs that use ffmpeg as a backend that it's quite possible you already have it. I just tried in my wee netbook and it's installed. I never installed it as such, it's being used by someting else.

Re: Installing ffmpeg
Thank you both for your replies.
It appeared that I had an issue with Mint. It wasn't allowing me to install anything. Probably something I did, I was playing about with repositories.
I have ended up re-installing Mint and it seems to work OK now.
