failure to recover from suspend mode

Post by n0body_special »

Hi. I have a Matebook D16 laptop with Linux Mint 21.1
When I suspend the laptop, it fails to recover. The failure rate is 100%.
Otherwise, the laptop works like a charm, booting is always fast and trouble free, as long as it is not from suspend mode.

I tried journalctl -b -1 but the log is huge, and does not show anything strange.
I tried journalctl -b -1 | grep suspend, and it showed nothing of interest:

Code: Select all

Mar 30 14:21:39 compu-terataki-III ModemManager[908]: <info> [sleep-monitor-systemd] system is about to suspend
Mar 30 14:21:39 compu-terataki-III systemd-sleep[10369]: Entering sleep state 'suspend'...
Mar 30 14:21:39 compu-terataki-III kernel: PM: suspend entry (s2idle)
How can I even begin to troubleshoot this problem? I have no idea where to look.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my inxi output:

Windows is the world's biggest virus.
UEFI is a Microsoft sponsored boot sector hijacker.
Android is the world's biggest spyware.
But most importantly: Google. Is. Skynet
