Surfshark is an extension of Brave on my machine. Would I need to email admin@surfshark.com ro make progress here?

Thanks for any clue.

There are something wrong in your "software sources" entries for 3rd party software. Namely Surfshark, Google Earth and Runescape. Could be outdated information accumulated.

The safest upgrade path is to remove those repositories and keys in Menu > "Software Sources", upgrade your Linux Mint and let the GUI program remove those orphan software package as well, then redownload / reinstall those proprietary software after the upgrade finish.
