It's sometimes possible but I'm afraid that any solution is likely to be temporary.
This sort of thing involves encryption using proprietary algorithms/code and the mfrs are not willing to share it. Actually I don't really blame them to be honest.
My HP Probook has a FP reader and my solution was to go into the BIOS menu and shut it off. I think being able to log in is pretty important and I'm just not willing to put up with any sort of flaky behaviour there at all.
