shutter - error trying to install gnome-web-photo to screenshot webpages

Post by tellymandeus »

hi there

I just installed shutter because I want to take screenshots of whole webpages (mostly chatgpt conversations :lol: ) but the web photo option is greyed out with a dialogue box saying "gnome-web-photo needs to be installed for this feature", I tried installing it from the ppa as this page says to do:

https://www.linuxuprising.com/2021/08/o ... -tool.html
You may also use the PPA to install the gnome-web-photo package (this depends on old libraries though) which allows Shutter to take website screenshots.
but i get this error message:

Code: Select all

$ sudo apt install gnome-web-photo
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package gnome-web-photo
Can anyone help get this to work? thanks

Linux is like riding a bicycle: it's slightly more effort, but ultimately much more satisfying.
