WiFi and external Monitor stop working after Suspension

I'm using Linux Mint, Cinnamon. (installed a week ago)

After I suspend the computer both the WIFI and the external monitor (HDMI to HDMI) stop working. After a reboot the WIFI has always worked, but the external monitor rarely works after the first reboot, I still haven't figured out what makes it work again. Usually the day after when I come back home and connect it, it works, sometimes it works right after I reboot (but that happened once).

I've followed the procedure described in Tips for Troubleshooting Graphics Issues (including external monitors not working), to see if there was any fix for the monitor but it didn't work.
