Todd Sauve wrote: Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:42 am I've been running 21.2 for several days now and not a single problem. Go ahead and take the plunge! It installed super easy and all the updates, when they come out, will automatically take you to the non-beta final release. Though I don't have any insider knowledge of that, it runs really nice and I like that. They have stopped making striped folders the default and just let you choose your colours and theme right from the start. Go for it folks! :D  8)
installed it right away, as a Fresh Install over my 21.1 beta which was upgraded from 20.3

running smooth as melted butter, the themes were the only thing I had to mess with, old eyes with new Cataract lenses so I can see, makes me sensitive to colors and UV

It is interesting that stable ISO linuxmint-21.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso which is currently located (before announcement) on the server have Victoria wallpapers removed for some reason.
Edit. Can't confirm, no issue on another try. Please ignore my statement.

I'm seeing them using 21.2 stable in VM Manager.

jackkileen, thanks for checking,
Edit. All is well on the another try. I can reproduce that issue anymore and I take back my statement.

I'm running the 21.2 release version (7/11) and I noticed that after I turned on the proprietary Nvidia driver, if I switch the primary desktop to the 2nd monitor, I get the "Desktop Icons are not currently enabled for this monitor" warning when choosing Customize on the primary side. Not sure if it happened before switching away from Nouveau.

EDIT: Sounds like this problem:
https://github.com/linuxmint/mint20-beta/issues/148

Maybe I'll install with only my primary connected, then add the second so I (hopefully) don't have to reassign.

EDIT2:
Switching away and back to the proprietary driver with only one monitor connected, then plugging in the other fixed it. So, there's some kind of issue with Cinnamon tracking which side is primary.

Clem, \

Not sure if this should be a new post. The forum is not allowing me to make it a new topic. I noticed that the update manager requires me to do a refresh before I see new updates. I update every few days for testing. Once I refresh the update manager, updates are available and install. I am running the beta on KVM on a Linux mint Vera host.Is this a KVM issue? I am enjoying the beta and look forward to moving it to production when it's released.

Forum users cannot make new topics in the Releases & Announcement forum, but you should be able to make a new topic in the support forums.

For your issue, I suggest waiting until the final release updates are made which turn your beta into an LM21.2 install. I expect the official release of LM21.2 to be happening soon because the bug tracker for the beta has been archived.

If you are still having a problem after the official release, you can post either in the Software & Applications forum (which is where Update Manager problems would normally be posted) or you can post it in the Virtual Machines forum if you think it might be related to your KVM install.
