You have my genuine respect and admiration for running a system with those specs today. I still have the old habits of shutting down a lot of stuff despite having 32gb of memory in my new PC, but this looks challenging. I don't think there is a reason to change because of specs between those two versions?
I was using a Xeon X5470 with 16GB of DDR3 memory has my main computer 2 months ago, i upgraded to a 13100f since then.

I like to toy with old parts, i'm actually thinking in reviving my old Xeon, just need a reason to do so :).
