Cannot upgrade through the terminal using the "mintupgrade" tool. I have tried several times with different mirrors in the Update Manager.

The point release upgrades are not done using the mintupgrade tool.

Additionally, instructions for upgrading have not yet been released. Please wait for the announcement of the blog post explaining how to upgrade from LM21.1 to LM21.2.

On my Lenovo 470 I had fresh installed vera from scratch one week ago, and I've done the upgrade yesterday with the source list repository edit (changing vera with victoria), and all seems working fine.
When released I'll look at the instructions and see if I've to do additional steps.
I want also to mention that the upgrade didn't break my secure boot that is working fine.

That's not the official way of upgrading.

This release announcement is not about upgrading. It is about doing a fresh install using the release of the installation ISO. Please save your upgrade comments for when the instructions for upgrading are released and announced in a completely separate topic.

Additionally, read the release notes and make sure to disable secure boot as listed in the Known Issues. Once you have Linux Mint installed and all the updates are run, you can re-enable secure boot if you want to use it.

Is this, viewtopic.php?t=235992, where all the loyal Mint users should wait to see when the new version comes out?
We hear a lot of good things about the new version but would rather upgrade from 21.1 than wipe the disk and start over :-) .

Congratulations! Great Update. I have only one feedback point which is that the new Software Manager is very slow to launch with no on-screen indication that it is doing something such as updating cache. Thanks.

You wait for the blog post which will announce the upgrade progress when the upgrade process is ready. It is not yet ready. This topic is not about the upgrade process.

There are no command lines for point release upgrades. It is all done through Update Manager. Please wait for the announcement.

Looking forward to the upgrade!

And, yes, as SMG noted - the upgrade usually posts a while after the ISOs. Hang in there, it'll come!

Well, looks like it's out, the upgrade that is. Just used Update Manager and installed the update from 21.1

So far, no problems and it's looking nice! :D

I really hope everyone who is upgrading is following the proper procedure of taking a Timeshift snapshot before upgrading.

First thing I did SMG when I saw the Upgrade Notice was close down all programs and went and did a Timeshift.

Thank you for the reminder.
