Going to roll an LMDE 6 with an XFCE desktop for my Mint Chromebook

Post by RamBurner »

I have 21.2 Mint XFCE on my Linux Mint Chromebook, but I want the debian base on it. I love Cinnamon, but it's resources are too paltry for Cinnamon, so I'm going to install LMDE 6 on it and wipe out the Cinnamon and put XFCE desktop on it. Going to roll my own on this one. Both of my desktops run LMDE 6 and it's fantastic!, but too heavy for that little thing.

I did that exact thing on LMDE4, which has now been through two upgrades and still running strong on LMDE6. I just like xfce better than any other desktop good luck and enjoy!

If you want to run LMDE with Xfce, yes, purging Cinnamon after is the right way to do it.
