Compose Key Stopped Working [Mint 21.2, MATE 1.26.1]

I have Caps Lock set as my Compose key for a long time, but for some reason it stopped working a few days ago! I've tried setting it to different keys, but it still does nothing. After pressing it, I type key combinations, but it just prints the character of the key. :!:
