Enable Terminal after exiting virtual terminal

Post by MarcoPinedo »

I didn't know that pressing ctrl + alt + (f1 to f6) enables a virtual terminal (tty). I finally discovered how to get back into the graphical session, but the thing I've noticed is that when I try to open gnome-terminal (clicking the terminal icon, entering file explorer, right click and option "open on terminal", and even by pressing ctrl + alt + t) it won't open, and the only fix I've found is by rebooting my machine. Is there a way to restore gnome-terminal on graphical session, so I can use it?

Terminal still works for me after switching to tty and back.
How are you returning to Cinammon?
The usual way is Ctrl+Alt+F7 (or just Alt+F7). Have you tried that?
