Kyocera FS-1350DN Printer Driver Installation

Post by Tarkus »

Hello ,
I previously used Linux Mint 18.3 and the installation of the debian package of this driver did not make any problems.

Now I am using Mint LMDE 5 "Elsie" and when trying to install kyodialog_5.0-0_amd64.deb I get the errormessage

Fehler: Abhängigkeit nicht erfüllbar: python-reportlab
translated
Error: Dependency not met: python-reportlab

However these packages are installed:
python3-reportlab
python3-reportlab-accel

Any clue how to solve this?
Thanks in advance

I think your kyodialog ist too old (2018).
I use v 9.2 in LM 21.2 Cinnamon.
Reportlab is not necessary since a long time.
For Linux, install PPD Driver version 8.4 [09-25-2008].
Note: There are no known issues for Mac OS X or Linux.
The PPD file is even older, but you should have more luck with it

Hello

fortunately I found a How to: Linux Printing with Kyocera Print Panel
https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to ... rint-panel
Following the steps I could successfully install and configure the driver.

An this site, where the driver is located:
