WOW what an amazing desktop! You made a beautiful GUI on Xfce! That widget or app in the bottom left that displays album art and info for a playing song is really nice! The clock is very artistic and the conky rocks!

Did you ever consider transparent panels to match the transparent conky background?
I appreciate the suggestion for transparent panels, thanks for that! I like it much better (also switched the icon theme):

Logansfury wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:30 pm I see from the lowercase letter "g" that you are using two (or more) fonts in this setup.

May I ask what font is used in the conky display? It has that double-oval syle letter "g" instead of the one oval and a hook style.
The conky isn't my creation, I just modded it a bit (as we all do). Unfortunately, I can't remember where I got it. The name is Conky08. The font is Droid Sans Font. You can get it here:

Bleys is not using a normal monitor, I believe he is using a Samsung 49" extended rectangular, which is like a double monitor setup without any screen frames breaking up the middle. I have to say I lust after it a bit!

I have also an ultra wide 34" (3440x1440), but seemingly not as extreme wide as Bleys monitor. I tried cutting the image, but half the planet was gone and still oval globes..

Absolutely beautiful monitor. Is that on a desk stand or floating on a wall mount boom arm?

I saw that but it seemed off-center to be the monitor's stand.

The displayed image has a resolution of exactly 3440x1440.
I took the 7680x2160 version of the 32x9 original, scaled it to 5120x1440 and then cropped the canvas to 3440x1440.
The planet can't possibly be oval.
If you want to see the complete image on your display, you have to accept black bars at the top and bottom.
