Because my notebook has no LAN connector I got an USB-Ethernet adapter (USB2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet ). This adapter was detected under LMDE6 see below. I choose again in the network settings "local connect" but I can not find the field to enter the "smb://servername". Is this different in LMDE6? If I click the Windows-Netzwerk icon a message appears: "Einhängen des Ortes nicht möglich...." (mounting not possible...). The Lamps on the adapters RJ Jack do not light on.
What can I do or what setting have I to choose to connect under LMDE6? How to enter the server name?
Thank you for ideas. Norbert
