DLLSG to FSR3 mod on Linux

Post by fixthis »

Hello, I do not know how to install the dlss to fsr3 mode in Linux, I am a new Linux user and some people say that this mode does not work in Linux, but some users say that it works when certain adjustments are made in Proton. If anyone knows, can you explain it to me in a simpler way?

Hi
FSR3 currently works on DX12 but on Vulkan it is still in development and will be available soon... but this mod in particular seems to work on Linux with Nvidia GPUs only but requires some work beforehand:
https://github.com/Nukem9/dlssg-to-fsr3/issues/93
I haven't tried this myself though.. sorry my help is of limited value.
Also look here:

Thanks for trying to help. But I don't understand the steps shown here anyway. Is there any chance you can help me with this?

According to 3rd post, for this mod to work you need to download the source code of Wine 9.0-rc2, then apply these 2 patches to it, then compile it. After that you need WINEHAGS=1 env variable set before starting the game. This is for Wine side, there are some steps for Proton side too according to proton git

In fact don't do the above. all of the patches for wine and proton are here, you just need to build this somehow.. and then set WINEHAGS=1, and also your DIVX, VKD3D, and NVAPI must be from "WINE-TKG" build.
then install the mod itself:
Right click on "DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg" and select "Merge". Click "Yes" when the dialog opens.

Locate your game's installation directory. For Cyberpunk 2077, this would be the folder containing Cyberpunk2077.exe.

Copy "dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll" and the new "nvngx.dll" to your game's installation directory.

Done. Launch the game. You'll see a message box on startup.
anyone has experience with custom wine/proton building? Help us here please!

BTW if you have 40xx nvidia gpu, you don't need to modify proton. only modify wine.

I managed to install it for Cyberpunk 2077 2.11(GOG version) via Lutris.

I downloaded the files here https://www.reddit.com/r/ModPiracyV5/co ... kefz_mods/

Then I followed the instructions inside the README.txt file. Now I can enable DLSS Frame Generation in graphics settings.

It is quite easy to install. I've been using: Wine-Ge-8.26(Lutris Default) or Protono-Ge-8.32 . It seems to run slightly better with Proton.
