Not able to install VirtualBox on Mint 21.3

I tried to install VirtualBox 7.0.12 on my Mint 21.3 version. The error says "the VirtualBox code does not match the current kernel version code"

as it is running fine for me..

I had a similar issue trying to install virtualbox. Did you install it using "sudo apt install VirtualBox"?
If so, purge that download and redownload it off of the oracle website https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

I use the Virtual Box repository to get the Oracle version. As soon as a new version is posted on the VBox website, it appears in Update Manager. Add it as a repository in Software Sources. I've used this for years.
