Disable Full-screen Compositing by Default

Post by tenplus1 »

I see quite a few gamers with slower than usual FPS when full-screen and to fix the issue it's as simple as disabling compositing when full-screen. Wouldn't it be a good idea to have this as the default setting ?

Not necessarily, with some gpus compositing is necessary to prevent screen tearing.

It has a negligible impact on actual FPS in all my tests in all DEs apart from Mate's "marco" where I've seen a marginally noticeable difference (3-5 fps)
