Hello, aut1.
Share your LMDE system information with us, please.
You will find the steps how this can be easily done in the sticky post Include your System Information for help with technical problems.
Also share the full error message, which you received, when trying to install the kernel update 6.1.76-1, with us. Without reading the precise error message there is little chance of understanding what incompatibility might be, which you mention.

Re: LMDE kernel update 6.1.76-1
Hello, aut1.
Seeing that your LMDE 6 system does have and use kernel K6.1.0-18 (6.1.76-1), I now fail to understand what your initial post is about.
Debian kernel version strings are a bit confusing, I know. Kernel K6.1.0-18 has got the Debian internal version string 6.1.76-1.
So your system already has got and uses this kernel. Nothing to be installed.
Which incompatibility did you experience? Does your system exhibit any problems?
Or are you actually asking about the problem, which systems with nVidia graphics cards encountered, when updating to kernel K6.1.0-18 (6.1.76-1)? Cf. e.g. here: Re: Not All Updates Succeeded - error, please.
In this case you need not worry, because your system has got an AMD graphics card.

Re: LMDE kernel update 6.1.76-1
Thank you very much for the help, Karl. I have already received a link from a friend as Linus Torvalds team has improved the kernel for this CPU and I have installed the kernel 6.5.0-0.deb12.4-amd64. It felt like a system turbo. Everything is good and running - very quickly - maybe my posting was a little stupid
