Hello,
I need help on how to start translating cinnamon spices.
Found them at
https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-spices-actions
But since I'm not programmer, I'm really not sure what to do here.
1. How to get files?
2. Do I need translation program? .po files usually needed some kind of program to handle them.
3. How to upload back?
Can't find any Wiki on this.
Thank you

I moved your topic to the Translations forum.
Linux Mint Translation Guide is a sticky topic for the Translations forum.
Here is the GitHub for
cinnamon-spices-actions. There is a section which mentions Translations and Translation Tables.
Maybe some of that will help you.

Thank you. As far as I can tell, that guide doesn't include Cinnamon spices (they aren't available on launchpad).
1. I downloaded
https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-s ... master.zip
2. Extracted it.
3. Found default .po file for one spice and created my locale .po file from it.
4. Translated it.
Now I don't know how to send it back to dev.
There is something about "pull requests" on github, and I went to create new, but don't know how to do it.
Or maybe I could open "issue" tickets with .po files attached.
Or there is some other way, but wiki is missing for spices.

I've never helped with issues related to spices. I'll see if I can get an answer for you.

What we have right now for Spices translation documentation is this tutorial on the Linux Mint Community website
How to add translations to cinnamon's 3rd party applets, desklets and extensions which was made because of the GitHub discussion
here.
The Community website tutorials are in archive status and any new/updated tutorials would be found on
Linux Mint Discussions: Tutorials on GitHub. I mention the latter because you may find it or some of the other categories under Linux Mint Discussions helpful. (And there may be a future updated tutorial posted there.)
Creating new files is GitHub help documentation if you need additional documentation for understanding how GitHub works.
I think that answers your questions, but let us know if not.

Thank you for your help! All spices are now translated into my native language and pull request made.
Had some issues with understanding how github works (and still do
) but I managed it.

Good to hear the links helped.
If all goes well, you'll be able to mark this solved and others with a similar question will know what to do.
