Hi
is there a way to configure the destkop icons with the same size in px?
I mean not one-by-one through Resize Icon, but some dconf or compiz entry
second question is, if someone knows how to extend the line length of the title of a desktop icon.
thx.

Re: Cinnamon: how to change the icon size for ALL icons
The desktop icon size setting is in Right click desktop > Customize > Icon Size. There are only 5 levels there and they aren't specified in unit of px. The change there is recorded by
~/.config/nemo/desktop-metadata
. When one choose bigger icon size, the "line length" for icon name is also extended. No, I don't know any way to customize that independent of icon size.Re: Cinnamon: how to change the icon size for ALL icons

Right click anywhere on the desktop then in the menu that comes up click on customize then click on Icon Size.
As far as extending the line length - if you are trying to get the title on one line there are a few ways to accomplish that
1.) go to system settings > Font Selection > Desktop font and change the font and font size
2.) if it is an icon that you added to the desktop from the menu you can; right click the menu > click configure > click open the menu editor
click on the Application category (for example Internet) click on the application (for example Remote Viewer) click on Properties and edit the Name to something shorter (for example Viewer)
