internal network card/adapter not picking up 5G networks

Post by rogereh1 »

Hi,

I have Linx mint on my Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop. I recently upgraded my internal network card/adapter on my Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop to the following as my internet was intermittent discounting and I was not pickup up 5G and Bluetooth devices:

Intel 7260.HMW Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Network Adapter PCI Express Half Mini Card 802.11 b/a/g/n/ac
https://www.amazon.com/Intel-7260-HMWG- ... op?ie=UTF8

I have tried to connect to 5G networks but I don’t see them listed in the wifi network list. I only see 2G and other networks. The card is not intermittently discounting anymore and is picking up my Bluetooth devices so that great. I still don't see any 5G networks in the WiFi network list so do I need to activate or change something since I changed the WiFi card? Any terminal commands I can run to solve this problem?
