[SOLVED] Notification app not appearing when clicked.

The Notification app no longer pops up when selected. I see in Sessions and Startup/Application Autostart that XFCE Notification Daemon is selected, neither the Launch Gnome or Launch KDE services are selected in the Advanced tab. In CompizConfig, under Utility the Notification is checked. When selecting Notification in the Settings screen of System Settings, the icon does nothing but swirl, endlessly.

Any suggestion on how to remedy this issue?

Hey Dullard,
you are talking about the notification settings app, right? Do you actually get any notifications, so it's only the app not working?
Please try reinstalling the settings:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install --reinstall xfce4-settings

Also, send your system information for debugging: "System Reports > System Information > Copy".
