Hotmail Online Account Calendar issue

Hello,

I installed Linux Mint 21.3 "Virginia" Cinnamon edition to try it out and have issues with importing my hotmail calendar.

I am using hotmail as my main email account, and even though the email account was created successfully in Thunderbird and Evolution, and syncs fine, I can't create the Online account to have it sync with the calendar apps. I have searched and found this recommendation: linux-mint-19-office-365 and solution_for_accessing_microsoft_365_calendar

But can't get it to work. The hotmail account has 2FA enabled. I tried with creating an app password as well and it didn't work. I also enabled passwordless login for the hotmail account and it didn't work as well. It throws authentication errors when I try to create the online account in Mint.

Has anyone succeeded to create such accounts and have hotmail calendar synced?
