Why is it that the update manager says my system is up to date but when I hit refresh it shows updates available? I am on Linux Mint 20.2 and Duke University is the library site.

Re: Update manager?
it Depends on How Long it has been, since the Update Manager polled your system and checked for new updates and "cached the results"
nothing wrong, if you are paranoid, always do a Refresh.
for me? I ignore updates for a week or so anyway....
I wait until I need to get away from the PC, and then tell it to update.

Re: Update manager?
Hi,
In update manager settings you can set the time interval between two automatic refreshes. By default it is two hours, and the 1st refresh is done a few minutes after system startup.

This problem appears to have been resolved when I changes Software sources.
