Im trying to load mint in "live" mode (its the one where you load it through usb) and it freezes at a console screen with the following
My pc restarts after freezing with:
A Start job is running for Wait for udev to Complete Drive Initialization ( 31s / 3min)
Watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - cpu#3 stuck for 26s! [systemd-udevd:1207]
The same error occurs on cinnamon and edge.
MY PC SPECS ARE:
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Proccessor (CPU)
128GB Ram (Overclockable)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Overclockable)
x64-Based PC
UEFI Bios
Secure boot: False
Bios: MSI click bios 5

Some more context, I haven’t installed linuxmint if that isn’t clear. I’m booting through my external drive (2TB external drive). I might try on a smaller drive soon. If that works, I’ll post my answer here

I did some research on your processor and seeing reports that it is supported. I think what I would do next is check for a bios update to your computer and upgrade the bios. Then check if your still having the issue.
I run a Ryzen 7 1800x and bought it when it was released. I had the same issue and had to wait a little bit for an updated kernel to support it. However, It appears your processor was released in 2022 so should be ok.
What would help is if you posted the full output of your hardware to look further into this issue. Use the following command if you can boot to a term window or what ever.
