I have exactly the same problem as in viewtopic.php?t=381062&sid=e39c7a784e81 ... b27e468e88 . I have used a dual-boot computer as well, and as rcranz mentioned, Windows shows the batt icon flawlessly, but Linux Mint (20.3 Una in my case) simply does not display. Nowadays I'm single-booting Mint.
Tried several commands to make the batt icon appear, but I never got positive results: it's like the laptop does not have a battery at all, and as far as Mint is concerned, it never existed.
I think this is related to a boot error I read ever since I installed Mint:
Code: Select all
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0.I2C1.TPL1], AE_NOT_FOUND (20190816/dswload2-162)
ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, During name lookup/catalog (20190816/psobject-220)
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.HEC.PENV], AE_NOT_FOUND (20190816/psargs-330)
ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PCI0.LPCB.H_EC.TFN1._FST due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20190816/psparse-529)
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I love this machine and I'm happy with Linux Mint.
