Apologies in advance as I know this had been the topic of a few threads on the forum.

Despite trying many of the solutions I've found here, I haven't been able to resolve my issue. I'm unable to change the resolution of, Monitor-2: VGA-1 pos: primary, left res: 1024x768 size: N/A, listed above. When connected to my windows machine it lists the same resolution as the native laptop screen when I chose Display in the settings of Linux Mint of 1366X768. More curious, when I've used previous versions of Linux it's able to identify other monitors I've used with similar, or higher, resolutions without issue. When attempting to add the correct resolution of my current monitor (Specifically a Sony KLV-32U100M) via Terminal it either reverts, or simply won't take. I've also looked for driver updates to my graphics card in a number of places online without success.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to review this and any suggestions you might have.
