Linux Mint Virginia is really sweet.
I was running Windows 7 on this computer, because it doesn't have the hardware to run windows 10, particularly something to do with sticking code in flash on the motherboard. Kind of sounds scary to me in any case. Virus, even with good AV running, wasn't enough to handle the vulnerabilities.
I was thinking about buying a new computer, but being familiar with Solaris and Linux, I thought I would try one of my favorite debian based distributions, Mint Virginia.
Everything works again. Even some of my software from the PC runs in one sense or another.
I'll have to frotz an Infocom game to celebrate. Maybe Hollywood Hyjynx. As a programming platform, having Linux is really outstanding as I can program things traditionally, or use more modern tools, if I want.
In any case, I just wanted to say thanks for keeping my computer running.
Thanks for a great collaboration
