I use Wi-Fi to connect my laptop to the Internet. Installed Linux Mint about a month ago, I didn't notice any drop of the downloading speed (it was actually better than Windows 10), it was about 10 to 20 MB/sec.
Since 2 days now I noticed real drops of the downloading speed: whether I use wget or my browser the downloading speed turns around 700KB - 1MB/sec. Strangely also the web pages (even YouTube) charge very fast.

I tried troubleshooting this issue with this site : https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... ernet.html but nothing worked.

More commands:
lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net

Maybe it is correlated to the fact that I installed VirtualBox a couple of days ago and played a bit with Windows? I downloaded 4 ISOs (about 3GB each) with the same Internet connexion and everything went fine (also deleted them afterwards).
Finally, I also noticed the RAM usage increased a lot (now 1.7GB / 3.3GB with only Vivaldi browser opened) compared to before VirtualBox (I don't remember the usage but I'm sure it was lower) (plus VirtualBox doesn't run at startup).

Well, I tried updating the Linux Kernel to 6.5 and it got even worse (10 KB/s). Reverted to 5.15 and tried this: https://proof.ovh.net/files/ to get test files to download and I got 20 MB/s as before. I live in France, and I know that OVH has a center in France. I wonder if it is bound with the download speed. Maybe the other servers were too far? Like archive.org? Or is it bound to the type of the file downloaded (mostly ISOs)? (OVH's files are DAT format).
