Bottles help - "is not owned by you"

After a lot of googling to get bottles working I almost got it working but can't seem to solve this. Bottles works fine when its on the home drive but i don't have much space on that to install anything so i need to move it to the other partition but when ever i do this i get the error in the terminal "wine: '/mnt/Acer/Bottles/TestBottle is not owned by you. This happens whether i use symlinks or change the bottles directory in bottles itself. This has been the only problem i can't find a solution for on google so I've resorted to asking for help here.

Please share your system info by going to:
Menu/System Reports/System Information/click "Copy"
and pasting it here.
(You can use the command inxi -Fxxxmprz on the Terminal.)

but i don't have much space on that to install anything so i need to move it to the other partition

You need to clear some space, or extend the partition, or buy a new drive.
Try moving stuff (documents, music, videos etc.) to the other partition.
You can look at Disk Usage Analyzer to find the largest files / folders.
You can clean Mint safely here: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... -mint.html
